Eric Hansen

Eric Hansen has been in the entertainment and event industry for over 24 years. His broad range of experience started in the club and festival market as a lead sound engineer. He managed the coordination of all aspects of festivals in the Chicago market. While working for the House of Blues Chicago’s opening in 1996, he earned the position as Technical Manager. This required overseeing the technical staff including the lighting, sound, and stagehand crews. He also acted as the lead sound engineer. In his tenure, the House of Blues Chicago received the prestigious “Pollstar Nightclub Venue of the Year” award.

The transformation to the corporate market was natural. In 1999, Eric worked on event marketing tours for several brands, providing a “total brand environment” for attendees. These included bus and truck tours of creative experience elements, with touring sound and lights. Headline artists included the likes of Wyclef Jean, Jill Scott, and De La Soul. At the same time, Eric coordinated conferences and trade shows for the corporate and association markets countrywide. In 2004, he settled down in Austin to work as a freelance sound engineer and production manager. Realizing Austin clients could use a more customer driven event team, Ideal Productions Austin was created.

Michael Lacy

Michael Lacy has worked in the Audio Visual Industry for over 10 years specializing in conventions and conferences. Throughout the years, Michael has worked as an Audio Visual Director, technical director, camera operator and video engineer for conferences and conventions around the Country. He has created valuable working relationships providing Audio Visual assistance for many sensitive clients and international companies including The President of the United States, Secretary of State, IBM, AMD, and Dell.

Michael’s production career began in 1999 when he was accepted into the American Pavilion Student Program to screen his student film at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival. Over the years, he has worked for an array of National, State, local organizations, and many world renowned touring musicians.

Michael has worked for a variety of successful Audio Visual Companies. He has experience as an event technician, Audio Visual Director, and sales manager throughout the country. He has ranked top in the country for a gamut of customer service survey providers. A valued customer relationship is a key component in Michael’s business relationships.
